About BRIGHT

Q: What is the BRIGHT Rewards Program?

A: BRIGHT is a free program where Members earn two (2) points per $1 dollar spent in select stores and online on qualifying purchases. For every 500 points earned, Members are awarded a $5 Reward toward a future purchase.

Q: Is this the same as the Gap Inc. Credit Card program?

A: No, if you choose to apply and are approved for a Gap Inc. credit card and use that credit card as the payment type for purchases, you are subject to the Gap Inc. credit card rewards program terms and conditions.

Q: Can I be a BRIGHT Rewards Program member and a Gap Inc. Credit Card program member?

A: Yes, however it is best to be a member of one program, not both. Gap Inc. Credit Card members earn more points and enjoy additional benefits. If you qualify for a Gap Inc. Credit Card there is no need to sign up for BRIGHT.

Q: Are BRIGHT points and Gap Inc. credit card program points combinable?

A: No, points are earned separately and cannot be combined toward a Reward. However, Rewards earned through a Gap Inc. Credit Card or as a BRIGHT Member can be used together on a single purchase.

Enrollment

Q: Where can I sign up to become a BRIGHT Member?

A: BRIGHT signup is currently available at Athleta, Banana Republic, and Banana Republic Factory in the state of California, and the Atlanta, GA, and Dallas Fort Worth, TX, areas. BRIGHT is also currently available at Gap, and Gap Factory in the continental United States and Hawaii. Sign up is available in a participating store or on a limited basis online based on user’s location. See the list of participating stores for details. Please note that sign up is no longer available at Old Navy stores or at oldnavy.com.

Q: Is the BRIGHT program free?

A: Yes, BRIGHT has no enrollment or annual fees.

Q: Are there any age restrictions for enrollment in BRIGHT?

A: Yes, customers must be at least fourteen (14) years old to sign up for BRIGHT.

Q: Where is the BRIGHT program available?

A: BRIGHT program participation is currently offered at Athleta, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory, and Old Navy in the state of California, and the Atlanta, GA, and Dallas Fort Worth, TX, areas. BRIGHT is also currently available at Gap, and Gap Factory in the continental United States and Hawaii in store, and on a limited basis online based on user’s location. Q: Can I participate in BRIGHT if I live outside of the BRIGHT markets?

A: No, only U.S. residents in the participating regions can currently sign up for the program and earn points in the program at a participating store or online. Please note that sign up is no longer available at Old Navy stores or at oldnavy.com.

Participating

Q: How do I earn BRIGHT Points on a purchase?

A: For in store purchases, simply provide your BRIGHT Membership number (the phone number tied to your BRIGHT Membership) at the time of purchase in a participating store. For online purchases, you must be signed in using the same email address that is registered to your BRIGHT Membership to earn points on purchases. All qualifying items purchased and linked to your BRIGHT Membership will earn BRIGHT Points, which automatically post to your BRIGHT Membership.

Q: Are there any restrictions on my purchases qualifying for BRIGHT points?

A: Taxes, fees, donations, and services (including shipping, packaging, and delivery) you pay for do not qualify to earn points. Members also do not earn points for the amount of any coupon or discount applied to a purchase, or for any amount paid for using a gift card, merchandise credit, or Reward certificate. Currently the BRIGHT program is only available for qualifying purchases in participating stores and online.

Q: What if I forget to add my Membership information at the time of purchase?

A: In-Store transactions must be registered by providing your BRIGHT Membership phone number at the time of purchase. For online purchases, you must be signed in using the same email address that is registered to your BRIGHT Membership to earn points on purchases. Unfortunately, you cannot earn points for a transaction after the time of purchase if you failed to give your accurate Membership phone number in-store or were not signed in using your Membership email address online.

BRIGHT Points

Q: How do BRIGHT points work?

A: BRIGHT Points are earned when you provide your BRIGHT Membership phone number in participating stores (See the list of participating stores for details) and when you use your BRIGHT Membership email address online at athleta.com, bananarepublic.com, bananarepublicfactory.com, gap.com, gapfactory.com, hillcity.com, and oldnavy.com when making a qualifying purchase.

Q: How many BRIGHT points do I earn for each dollar spent?

A: Members earn two (2) points per net $1 dollar spent on qualifying items.

Q: How many BRIGHT points do I need to earn a BRIGHT Reward?

A: For every 500 points earned, Members will be awarded the value of $5 in BRIGHT Rewards.

Q: How long does it take for BRIGHT Points to post to my BRIGHT Membership?

A: BRIGHT Points will be posted to your Membership within 1 day from the date of purchase. Points are initially earned in a pending status. After 14 days, earned points become active. Once you have 500 or more active points, those points will automatically convert to BRIGHT Rewards.

Q: How will I know when I've earned BRIGHT points?

A: You will receive an email when you earn your Reward. You can also check your BRIGHT Membership balance in your online account, or by calling 1-833-244-5556.

Q: Do BRIGHT points expire?

A: BRIGHT Points will not expire if you make at least 1 qualifying purchase every 24 months. BRIGHT Points have no monetary value.

BRIGHT Rewards

Q: What are BRIGHT Rewards?

A: BRIGHT Rewards are $5 and $10 promotional discount certificates that can be used on qualifying purchases at participating stores and online at athleta.com, bananarepublic.com, bananarepublicfactory.com, gap.com, gapfactory.com, hillcity.com, and oldnavy.com.

Q: When will I receive my BRIGHT Rewards?

A: You will be awarded $5 in BRIGHT Rewards each time you reach 500 Bright points throughout the duration of your Membership. Points are initially earned in a pending status. After 14 days, points become active. Once you have 500 active points, those points are automatically converted to a $5 BRIGHT Reward. For example, once you have 1000 active points, those points will convert to a $10 BRIGHT Reward. Once you reach 1500 active points, those points will convert to a $5 BRIGHT Reward and a $10 BRIGHT Reward for a total of $15 in BRIGHT Rewards.

Q: How will I know when I've earned a BRIGHT Reward?

A: You will receive an email each time active points convert into a Reward. You can also check your BRIGHT Membership balance in your online account, or by calling 1-833-244-5556.

Q: Are there any restrictions for using BRIGHT Rewards?

A: BRIGHT Rewards cannot be used toward the purchase of a Gift Card. Three (3) Rewards may be redeemed together per transaction in store. See the program terms for full restrictions and details on how to redeem Rewards.

Q: How do I redeem my BRIGHT Rewards?

A: Simply present your BRIGHT Rewards found in your online account or in your email to the store associate to scan at checkout in participating stores. Online, simply enter the promotion code from your BRIGHT Rewards at checkout.

Q: When do my BRIGHT Rewards expire?

A: BRIGHT Rewards expire 6 months after the date they are issued to you. After 6 months, any unused value is forfeited. Rewards are promotional in nature and have no cash value.

Q: Can family members use my BRIGHT Rewards?

A: No, BRIGHT Rewards are non-transferrable.

Q: Do I have to use the entire value of a BRIGHT Reward at one time?

A: Yes. When you choose to use a BRIGHT Reward, your purchase transaction will be credited for the value of the BRIGHT Reward or the transaction total (whichever is less). Any remaining BRIGHT Reward value will be forfeited.

Privacy and Communication in BRIGHT

Q: Will you share my information with other companies?

A: Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.

Q: What kind of emails can I expect to receive?

A: After you enroll in BRIGHT, we'll send you transactional relationship emails regarding your Membership status. You'll also receive marketing emails with the latest news and promotions from the Program, and from the brand through which you enrolled.

Q: What if I don't want to receive emails?

A: If you do not wish to receive BRIGHT transactional emails, you can cancel your Membership by contacting BRIGHT customer service at bright@gap.com or 1-833-244-5556, or by postal mail at BRIGHT @ Gap Inc. Customer Service, 6007 Green Pointe Drive, Groveport, OH 43125. Note, by cancelling your Membership, any unused points or unredeemed Rewards are forfeited, and you will not receive points and/or Rewards for future purchases at our brands unless you enroll again.

To stop receiving brand marketing and promotional emails, click unsubscribe at the bottom of any brand marketing email and enter the email address to be unsubscribed. See our Privacy Policy for additional information. Please note that it may take up to 10 days to process an opt-out request once it is received.

Q: How will my phone number be used?

A: Your phone number will be used as your BRIGHT Membership number when you make a purchase in a participating store. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details on how we use the data you provide us in general.

Q: How do I keep my BRIGHT membership active?

A: Your BRIGHT membership will stay active if you have transactions within a two-year period. If there have been no transactions in your account for a period of two years, your account will be considered inactive. Inactive accounts will be closed two years after the date of the last transaction in the account.

Q: How do I cancel my BRIGHT Membership?

A: To cancel a Membership, please contact BRIGHT customer service at bright@gap.com or 1-833-244-5556. For any customer service issues about the BRIGHT Program in general, contact us at bright@gap.com or 1-833-244-5556.
